One of the most powerful features within Liquidus is the Meta Data System and Customer Objects. The two features allow you to customise and extend what information is recorded within the help desk system. These systems combined allow complete control over the Liquidus data system and provide various additional data field options that tailor the system to suit your needs.
Meta Data System
The Meta Data System allows you to add fields or data options to core records within Liquidus like Customers, Contract, Contract and Support Requests. Various types can be added including Textboxes, Data Boxes, Encrypted fields and Yes / No Drop Downs. You can define the field name, and friendly label, some helper text and the actual field type. These fields are then displayed for input for all records of a given type by your staff and your customers as required. This system means your support system can evolve as your business develops and changes without the need for expensive re-coding.
Customer Objects
The Customer Objects system works a little like the Meta Data System explained above. However Customer Objects are more powerful and flexible because you actually define an Object that’s then attached to Customer Records. Confused? Let’s run through an example!
ACME Web Development Company has a requirement to track FTP account information for customers within Liquidus.
By Using Customer Objects ACME can define a New Customer Object called FTP Account and then define fields to store address, usernames and passwords. Encryption Field types can be used to ensure passwords are stored securely.
This is just one example, Customer Objects can be used to define pretty much anything, it could be Hire Car Details or the parameter needed to reorder specific spare parts.
